Sports
Day - We held our sports day on the hottest day of the
year, but with lots of shade, rest and water breaks the
children all enjoyed themselves and the BSA gave each
child an ice pop to end the afternoon.
Gymnasts:
Our school gymnastic team took part in the Somerset
School Gymnastic competition at Wellsprings School,
Taunton and came first in two sections and third in
the final section.
Rounders:
Pheobe, Luisa, Callum, Ryan, Sam, Darren, Reece and
William took part in the Burnham Schools, Rounders Tournament
at King Alfred's School and won the cup.
Health
Week:
The whole school took part in a number of activities
to promote Healthy Living and Healthy Choices. The week
culminated in a Football Festival which raised over
£1100 for Clic Sergeant.
Ellen
and Luke both won their races at the Sedgemoor District
Cross Country Running Championships in November 2008.
The
school football team took part in the Sedgemoor District
League Division 1 football tournament. They played well
as a team despite losing three matches.
